How do you know if the cadillac converter is stopped up? My gas mileage is bad and sometimes it sounds like my car is a race car its so loud and if it is the converter can it be unstopped

Find a shop with a gauge to measure exhaust backpressure. Thisis the best way to see without removing it. If the cat is partially plugged, it cant be cleaned out, it will need to be repalced
