2001 Nissan Maxima Catalytic Converter and O2 sensor?

I have a 2001 Nissan Maxima with the Federal Emissions. I have learned that I need a new catalytic converter and oxygen sensor. They quoted me $1300 to $1500, is that a fair price? What is a fair price for repair? Should I get a second opinion?
