When I try to start the car, turn key to on position, do not hear anything, but also don't remember hearing anything previously. Turn key to start engine, turns like normal, just won't actually start, had this problem many times in the past, but tried again afterwards and problem was gone, only this time it hasn't started in 4 days, could it be the fuel filter or pump?

The ignition switch is common to fail on those.

Call your local Nissan dealer, if they have it in stock, then that means they sell enough of the to warrant keeping them.

Well I guess the easiest thing to check for is spark.

Pull one of the coils and stick a plug in it.

Ground the plug and have someone crank the engine while you watch for spark.
