HI I PUT TIMING BELT AND WATER PUMP IN. I PUT MOTOR IN TIME AND SPUN IT OVER BY HAND TO MAKE SURE NOTHING PISTONS ANDVALVES ARE NOT HITTING NOW WHEN I START IT HAS A LOUD TAPPING NOISE ON LEFT SIDE OF MOTOR

Hi there,

I would be re checking the timing marks just to make sure all is ok, but you may find that this is a faulty lash adjuster, if so, try using a good quality engine flush and change the filter this may free it up. Start here.
