2004 Nissan Altima spark plug gaps

Something is causing my spark plug gaps to hammer shut. I carry it to my local mechanic and he opens them back up. It will run fine for a few days and then will shut again. It always happens on plug 1 or 4. How common is this problem and what steps do I need to take to have it fixed?

Is there marks on it that are clean like its being hit by something. Like say a piston or is it dirty and just slowly closing up
