I am attempting to remove and change the spark plugs with the hynes repair manual here. I read the page on removing and changing however when I attempted the spark plugs wires is different, for instant each plugs wires runs together after the boot. And also I dont know where is the distributor cap is located? And the hynes repair manual illustrate I believe the older model than 2004 thats why I dont see what is shows in its picture.

I am assuming that you have Haynes manual number 72015 for 1993 through 2004 Nissan Altima.

Beginning year 2002, Altima comes with the 2.5L engine. It is DIS, Distributorless Ignition System. As it has no distributor, it has no cap and uses coil on plug, you don't have a plug wires.

If you look at the bottom left of page 1-24, under 2.5L engine, line 9. It asks you to refer to Chapter 5 to remove the coil. Then if you go to page 5-5, under Section 7 Ignition Coil Replacement, at the bottom left of that page, look for section 2002 and later models, refer to illustration 7.16. (top, center picture). Follow the procedure 12 - 17, and then go back page 1.-24 to finish the install.
