Our car started fine one morning, and then later that day, wouldn't even turn over. It just sounded like clicking in the ignition. We had a lot of corrosion on the battery, but cleaned it off and got a jump. The next time the car was turned off, it wouldn't come back on at all. It would even take a jump. The power locks and windows aren't working, either. Is there a way to get this diagnosed without being told we need unnecessary repairs?

If the battery is too dead or no more good then chances are it wont take a jump at all. try a new battery and see how it fairs. Here is a guide to help check the relay and the relay location in the diagrams below. (It is called an inhibitor relay)

Check out the diagrams (Below). Please let us know what you find.

You might need a new starter, at least that is what happened with my 1999 Nissan Altima when it wouldn't start and got two jumps from two different people.
