Shut off while going up a hill, truck started sputtering almost as if it was out of gas then lost engine power. A few seconds later, I started it and limped home. Now it wont start at all, cranks, just no start. I figured it was the fuel pump because I couldn't hear it running. So I removed the bed, replaced the pump and filter. Still nothing. I replaced the EEC and fuel pump relay. Still nothing. I also checked the inertia switch and it hasn't been triggered. The truck will start with starting fluid into the intake, then shut off. I have power at the pump 4 pin connector and at the relay.

Any help would be great.

Hello,

Double check to wires going to the pump and the connector for the pump itself. Also, check the fuel pumps ground wire. The best way to do this is a voltage drop test on it. I have included in the diagrams below instructions on how to do a voltage drop test, as well as wiring diagrams for your vehicle's engine performance, which will have the fuel pump circuit in it. I have the fuel pump ground wire (black) highlighted for you as well. Please go through the material and get back to us with what you are able to find out please.

Thanks,
Alex
