Hello, I started noticing that my battery was drained and then I checked the cameras, and the alarm was engaged, and my rear hatch was opening and closing by itself. Please help me.

Hi,

Boy, that would be enough to scare the heck out of someone. LOL The power liftgate system utilizes its own liftgate control module. This power liftgate module contains all the solid-state hardware and software used to control the power liftgate system. If I had to guess, that is where the problem is located.

I attached a pic below of the module location. Before just arbitrarily replacing it, I would recommend scanning the can-bus system. CAN stands for controller area network.

Basically, all the different computers/modules are tied together via a few wires. If there is a diagnostic trouble code stored, this should retrieve it for you and confirm what is happening.

Here is a link that explains how it's done:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,

Joe
