On my way home tonight my car started over heating, I popped the hood and found my belt off and my alternator laying off to the side from where it is mounted. Can I pull the 2 polley's off and replace mounting brackets or is this particular alternator brackets part of the engine? It has Ram Air. I don't know if that matters

Alternator and bracket seem to be combined on this with only bottom bolt going to a bracket. This is for a 3.5L so yours may be different.

Unfortunately this isn't close however, the picture below is. The alternator is mounted on a piece behind top polley. Is that replacement or is it mounted to motor? I need to figure out if I am able to pull the pulley and replace the mount?

The piece in pic with arrow is a bracket that mounts to motor if it's broken then you might be able to get it welded the bracket if this is a 3.4L is 25.43 at gm parts direct. Com plus shipping.
