Just after I start my car (right after I let go of the key), a noise (that is hard to describe but I would describe as a low throaty sound), can be heard from the drivers rear quarter panel and it lasts for an average of 4 seconds. The fuel pump was the first guess and it has been replaced but the noise is still there. The car has to sit in a hot environment (summertime) and the noise only happens 20-45 minutes after the car has been shut off. If you start the car, listen to the noise, turn off the car and start again before 20 minutes, it will not make the sound. Any ideas?

Just a wild guess because sounds over the internet are tricky devils! Check the "weep" hole on the muffler, it may be clogged and condensation is building up in the muffler, then burns off, then the cycle repeats. If not that, then the muffler may have a baffle problem that seals with heat.
