Transmission problem
1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

car moves forward for twenty feet then disengages, there is no reverse at all. Changed the torque converter and moved foward when cold but same conditions when warmed up.

Hi there,

You will have to get the line pressures tested as well as a diagnostic test done on the transmission electrics, this is sounding like a pump pressure related issue, start here.

Replaced the transmission all is good. Turns out an additive to enhance shifting was added and the only thing enhanced was the inability of the transmission to fntion correctly. Thank you for the feedback
