1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse Front Wheel Drive Automatic
Can't find the speed sensor so that it can be replaced, it is not where the book says it is on the transaxle - where could it be ? I could not read the answer from a simular question posted.

vehicle speed sensor (VSS) is on the left side of the transaxle

I can not find the vehicle speed sensor on the left transaxle. I do not see anything that looks like the part that I purchased. What would it be near?

ok try this, take the battery out then take the battery tray out. there will be a black sensor on top of the transmission on the back. its a 10mm bolt, then it lifts out.

i have a 2.0L automatic and I can not find the vehicle speed sensor. pulled the battery tray out, etc... I am attaching some pictures that might help. I

Is it possible thathave a input sensor and and output sensor?

2.0L non-turbo? if so then yep thats it. you have input and output sensors both on the side of the transaxle though so should still have found something on transaxle..
