1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse Manual 15700 miles

i am thinking about buying a 1997 mitsubishi eclipse. I was just wondering what the average life of the car is. How many miles can it usually go before it starts having problems or quits?

Cars can last years and years. Its not the mileage it is the maintenance history of the car. Take care of the car, it will take care of you. I have a 2003 with 134k miles. It still runs like when it was first bought. Keep with the eclipses maintenance in the owners manual and you should be good. Mileage is just a number now.
