My engine developed a miss out of the blue. Was running fine. I shut it off one day and restarted it right away ( within seconds of shutting it off) It started to miss. When I put it in gear it is worse the engine starts to shake. I replaced the plug wires, rotor, distributor cap last year. I had to replace the fuel pump prior to that. I did a compression test on it. All good. I turned number one cylinder up to the compression stroke and the rotor is pointing at number one cylinder. The plugs have low mileage on them, but they are a bit black like it is running rich. A couple of plugs seem to be blacker then the other ones. All plugs are firing. The check engine light is on. Starts good but misfires when idling. And really misses under load.

Recheck fuel pressure with a gauge could be an injector, or regulator. Then do a freeze frame on engine while running and read voltages one may be reading wrong but not setting a code. Finally check rocker arms for being bent. Fuel pressure should be 60-66 psi. If csi an d56-62 if sfi. Key on only.
