ERG Valve

I have a 1997 Mercury Sable. My service engine soon light is on I had it checked and they said my EGR Valve isnt working correctly. I have a little miss when ideling other than that I havent really noticed any other problems. How important is the Egr Valve. How hard is it to change on this car? How much do they coast? :roll:

Might also be a DPFE sensor. They are known problems on fords and will set an EGR code. Search the forum for more detailed info.

You can price them online or any local parts house. Not to bad to R & R. Might just try cleaning it and it's port.
