Engine Performance problem
2001 Mercury Sable 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 90k miles

i had a blowout on the rear passenger side of my car. I beleive in the process of pulling over my engine died. My serpentine belt is 25 to 33 percent thickness left on it I was wondering if my belt could be cause of engine not starting

The fuel pump inertia switch is located in the right rear of the trunk. If the tire hit the car hard enough it may have triipped the switch. There should be a reset button on it, try pushing it and see if the car will start. If the belt is intact I doubt it is the problem
