I have a 1997 Mercury Sable. Recently my heater has stopped working properly. If the car is stationary and running, the heater blows warm air but doesnt seem to be as hot as it should. When the car is being driven, it only blows cold air. What would I need to check to fix this problem. Any advice would be helpful.

First check your level of coolant.
Second check your thermostat; Does your engine take a long time to warm up in the morning?
With the symptoms you describe, it sounds like your thermostat is stuck open (replace it).
Check the above and let me know if it doesn't fix your problem; we'll look at other possible problems.
