I just bought this car about 2 months ago. It worked fine, just had to replace the brakes, and change the oil. About 2 weeks ago, the radio just shut off. It wasn't that big of a deal, but then the coolant light starts flashing. I check it and it wasn't low at all. Then when i started it to after checking the coolant, it was fine. When i shift it to anything other than park or neutral, the radio cuts out, the window wipers won't work, the windows don't work, and the steering tightens up. This happens often but not all the time. Usually its just the radio, but if I drive for a bit it does all this stuff again.

I had the same problem and was told it was the position switch (I think that is what it is called, it's been awhile and us old folks forget) It's located on top of the transaxle. It is either an 8 pin plug (about $40) or a 12 pin (about $75). I bought an 8 pin plug unit and was going to have my mechanic change it but i sprayed plug with electrical cleaner and it cleared up the problem (about 6 months ago). I was advised my my mechanic not to change myself because it is a bitch to set if you've never done before. I've still got switch in trunk just in case. GOOD LUCK
