Why won"t my drivers window go up or down?

I have power windows and this mornig I had the drivers window down. I pushed the power window button so the I could put the window up but it wouldnt go up or down. All the other windows work but the drivers side. When I pushed the power window button, a clicking sound was coming from the fuse box. Any clue what this might be? The fuse? The motor? The regulator assembly? I'm a single mom that needs help. Please help, its cold out and I need my window up. Thanks a bunch!

How do you check this? I know that I can get the parts for about $14 each used but I need to save money and I dont want to buy both if I dont need to.

you need a voltmeter.

remove the door panel and check for voltage in the up and down commands when you push the window switch for up and down command.
