1994 Mercury Sable V6 Front Wheel Drive Automatic 165000 miles

Driving down the road. Car purrs like a kitten. Driving along 20-30-40 minutes with no problem. Then, out of the blue, the car stalls. Usually going in a speed zone so foot of the gas just coasting. Sometimes, if thrown into neutral, the car will restart. Sometimes it will not. So coasting into a parking lot or off to the side of the road. Trying to turn it over. The battery cranks but does not have enough juice to turn over. HELP! A jump will restart it but only until it feels like stalling again. For no apparent reason.

You need to check what is missing when it’s not starting for you
After it stalls check if you have spark on the spark plug wire
And also try to listen for fuel pump sound when first turn key on before cranking
Ignition control module may be to blame in your case but check 1st
And also you said it will need a jump to start is because you drain the battery trying to start or not.
If always need a jump check the charging system and have the battery checked
