2000 Mercury Cougar Fuel Pump
2000 Mercury Cougar 4 cyl Manual 100k miles
I am having trouble changing the fuel pump on my cougar. We have got to the pump through the back seat of the car and we can see the pump but are having issues getting the pump to come out. Theres wires connected to it. Do you pull the wires? and if so how? we dont want to break it in any way. I have heard the fuel pump of this model was recalled? is that possibly why the fuel pump i purchased at auto zone looks nothing like the fuel pump im looking at in the car? can you please give me some specific steps as to how to change the fuel pump??
