Only happens at high speeds or on the freeway. The car drives normal then all sudden the rpm get high around number 4 or higher then go back to normal withing seconds. I was told mayble the trasmission is goin out but we don't drive it alot. Now we drive it less. I keep it maintained but dont drive it as much.

Hi cloakville, welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation

Could be the transmission is slipping, if not could be one of these fuel pressure problem, throttle position sensor and MAF sensor-Try cleaning the MAF sensor with an electronic cleaner and see what happens for a start-

I did clean the MAF sensor but it is still doin the same thing. I will try the throttle n see what happens. If it is slipping is it costly to repair? What has to be done to it so it wont slip?

Cost of repairs varies with location and then again it depends what need to be fix within. If its slipping for sure, get it pressure tested this will indicate what's going on.
