My 1978 diesel240 mercedes is acting up. I purchesed it from my grandfather a week ago and have driven about 200 miles ontop of the 208,300. The past few days it has been makeing a ping sound after I shift threw the first three gears. Last night I drove about 200 miles and it was fine but when I parked I was leaking fluid out of or around the transmission so I parked it and when I went out to start it this mourning my clutch pedal was all the way to my floorboard. A friend said it may be a 'throw out bearing' but another friend said it may be my linkage. What do u think? THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP.?
