1993 Mercedes Benz 300sd electrical harness cracking and sh

1993 Mercedes Benz 300sd 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 71,458 miles
I have a very nice car with low milage and now the electrical harness is cracking and shorting out. I took it to an auto electric repair place and they could not fix it. Question is: is this repariable or should I part out the car? If it is repairable approximately how much will it cost to replace the electrical harness?

Hi there,
This will depend on where the loom is faulty. if it is the engine section this can be replaced easily, if the main loom, this will be very expensive to replace as the dash will have to be removed as well as most of the trim, small sections can be spliced in, but it is always a matter of access.
