1981 Mercedes Benz 300d Key ignition stuck
1981 Mercedes Benz 300d 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 153000 miles
hello, i have a problem with my 81 mercedes-benz.
i can put the key in the switch. i can change from park to drive etc, without a problem. The steering wheel is locked and so is the key switch.
It has been giving me problems(it will stick for a moment but after shaking/ turning the steering will the car will start) for some time now(about 2 months). now it wont turn at all though.
my car is immoble and i need your help

have you tried lubricating the lock with some WD-40? do you have the spare backup key? the key may be worn out. If the key is showing signs of wear you will have to remove the passenger side door lock and go have a new key made.
