Electrical problem
1993 Mazda Protege 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

My rear tail lights won't turn on. But they will turn on when I step on the brakes. How can I fix this problem?

Hi janolean912,

Brakes and taillights are 2 different circuit in the same bulb. If the dash and front lights are working, check the taillight bulbs.

Dashlights and taillights are in the same circuit. Either you have a blown fuse or the light switch is faulty.

Check the interior fusebox # 22 Tail fuse (15 A)
