Flashing air bag light
Electrical problem
1991 Mazda Miata 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual 130,00 miles
My 1991 Mazda Miata runs strong and performs well. There are no apparent problems. However the "air bag" light flashes intermitently five times, repeatedly.
To stop this flashing I disconnected the negative cable from the battery for two minutes according to my repair manual. This stops the problem for a brief period of time.
Any idea what is causing the flashing?
Please advise

5 flashes is the front impact sensor/circuit.Im afraid I have to suggest you take it to a shop that is qualified to work on air bag systems. These are nothing to learn on.
