Having trouble with engine running hot. Started off with engine over heating and destroying heat transfer switch. Replaced the switch contiued to run hot, the replaced thermostat still run hot. Started knocking and sputtering on way back home. Auto zone tech suggested water for the knocking, he put the diagnostic reader on, said trouble # 3 cylinder. Pulled valve cover, sure enough water in the valve cover. Broke down engine down to block, found blown head gasket and callapsed hydrolic lifter. Replaced head gasket, intake gasket, valve cover gasket new upper and lower hose's, radiator flushed clutch on fan seems fine kicks in ok. Engine runs great just hot seems to have alot of air wants to rummble air and water into recovery tank. Have checked for bleeder screw on thermostat housing do not have one, have left cap off of radiator while running to try and purge the air out of the system. I am at my wites end I have no budget I am mechanically inclined I need help!
