I was wondering if you can tell me why when I put my truck in gear it wants to stumble or hard idle and it goes sluggish down the road. I moved my timing forward some and it seemed to help but not much, could my timing be off ? I pulled the top of timing cover and I put it at top dead and the mark on my timing cover at top is pointing at one tooth before the number one and arrow. Thanks any help will be greatly appreciated!

Lack of acceleration, chugging, hesitating, bogging etc. Could be caused by one of the following below.

Inspect and test all the following listed below and get back with some results

Oxygen sensor.
Catalytic converter.
Fuel injectors dirty/sticking.
Mass airflow sensor/Airflow meter.
Throttle position sensor.
Manifold absolute pressure sensor.
EGR Valve
Fuel pressure regulator leaking or defective fuel pump.
False air leakage.
Fuel contamination.
Foul/defective spark plugs.
Open spark plug wires.
Ignition coil/Coil packs defective.
Incorrect ignition timing.
Cap and rotor.

Note:If it doesn't apply disregard.
