Rpm problem

Transmission problem
1993 Mazda 929 V6 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 149000 miles

I got this problem the transmission on my '93 mazda 929 shifts fine but when i'm driving 60 MPH RPM is @ 2500 and when i hit 80 it's on 35000 RPM is this normal?

I found out by myself unfortunately reason for the RPM beeing higher than normal the 4th gear on the transmission was dead, not working, broken 3 weeks later 3rd gear passed away and then a few minutes after the whole transmission went to heaven...so for all people that read this and if you think your RPM isn't right get the transmission checked right away.
