Had wires changed 3 months ago. Engine light came on. Took to Autozone. Misfire code. Had new plugs put in NGK platinum. Still same problem. Tried coil pack. Same problem. Car would not start. Added fuel injection cleaner. Car ran for a day and now will start but when put in drive or reverse car stalls and dies. Sometimes when driving car will die. And now when I push on accelerator. Car will not do anything.I took to a repair shop. Recommended from friends. The mechanic called me and said that he had bad news. My transmission was gone and it would cost me $3400.I went online to see what symptoms of transmission problems would be and my car had none of those. It was all symptoms of a fuel problem.I am a single mom and I feel like am being scammed. Please help!

I have to say the mechanic may be right on this one these actually are symptoms of a solid torque convertor lock up at idle or low engine speed without looking at it myself I cant tell you for sure but it does sound as though there might be transmission problems I know how hard it is to be a single mom and come up with that kind of money my mom did it growing up but you need a car trust him if your friends tell you hes a good guy then he must have done them right if hes wrong believe me he will want to make it right after you spent that kind of money with him I hope this helps
