Car runs fine and clutch seems ok but when you put it in gear it does not move

Hi cpetera,

Thank you for the donation.

If the gears can be shifted with no power transmitted to the road wheels, the following are possible causes.
1. Worn clutches.
2, Faulty transmission.
3. Dislodged axle shafts.

With engine started can you shift into any gears without applying the clutch? Does it seem to have some sort resistance as if the gears are crashing?

Are there any abnormal grinding noise when in gear and clutch released?

Prior to this happening, was there any power losses and or difficulty in engaging gears?
