Replacement alternator makes loud noise?

Had my alternator was replaced in Feb 2023 and about 2 weeks ago started making this noise! Please help.

O' boy, thanks for the video. It sounds like the new alternator is defective and needs to be replaced again. To be sure I would remove the serpentine belt and rotate the pulleys individually. You should be able to feel the rumbling in one of them, try the alternator first.

If it’s the alternator it would be the 3rd one, I replaced. The 1st one was put in was defective, now this one. Is the problem common for this vehicle?

What brand is the alternator? Did the first one make this noise as well?

Hello, it’s a $200.00 unit and yes, but just not as loud. In my video I posted does the belt look like it’s on right?

Yes, the belt looks like it is on correctly. I would remove the belt and tun each pulley by hand to help confirm the noise is coming from the alternator and if so may try a different brand or try to get another one.

I spoke too soon the battery light came on, now won't start, so, yes defective alternator again.

I would get a replacement from rockauto. Com that way you wont have to keep redoing the job.
