Why does the maintenance required light keep coming on? I just had an oil change and I have not driven it that much. What else could be wrong?

Hi and thanks for using 2CarPros. Com.

If the light coming on is the same as the one that indicates when an oil change is due, then the technician forgot to reset it. Here is what to do:

1. With the key off, locate the odometer DISP button on the dash. It is the button which you use to reset the trip odometer.

2. Press and hold the the odometer button and turn the key to the run position (do not start the engine).

3. Where the mileage is usually indicated, you will see dashes counting down. When they are gone, all 0's will appear. You are done. Release the button, turn the key off and then back on to confirm it is reset.

If you have trouble, let me know.

Take care,
Joe
