After driving for about ten minutes or so this loud metallic sound starts. The squealing sounds to me like it is coming from the right passengers side wheel. The loud metallic squeal occurs when driving and when lightly applying the brakes but stops when continuing to apply brake pressure in order to stop the vehicle. I have attached a sound clip of the noise it makes, this was recorded while driving without any brake pressure applied. I was wondering if this is a issue with the brakes (perhaps old hardware or worn pads) or something more serious.

Good afternoon.

It sounds like you may have a high spot in your brake rotor making the noise.

Remove the wheel and inspect the rotor surface for any black marks. That is an indication of a heat mark.

I could not hear anything in the recording, but the symptoms you describe sound like the brake pads may have worn down to the warning sensors. A good inspection is in order.
