Losing speed

While I was driving on the freeway at 65 mph I accelerated to avoid another driver. When I pressed down on the gas pedal the car made some small jerking motions and began to decelerate. While in 5th gear it decelerated all the way down to 55 mph. Since it did go down I tried to put it in 4th gear to compensate. As I did that the car tried to slow even further, so I quickly returned it to 5th gear where it topped out at 55 mph. This has not happened before as I have taken this car as far as 80 mph before.

Could be low fuel pressure or bad cat converters.

You only need to post 1 time

Use a fuel pressure tester for the fuel and a back pressure tester for the cats/
