Battery is charged. Engine seems to not get fuel. Fuel filter replaced twice, fuel pump replaced twice, replaced one relay, we have no owners manual to be able to check where the relay/ fuse positions are and what they do. Drained 10 gallons of gas and replace with new gas. Used fuel injector cleaner. We can only make the car run with a gas rag in the air intake. When it is removed the car dies. Please help!

Hi terry meder, Welcome to 2carpros and TY for the donation and selecting us as your auto repair site Feel free to ask questions at anytime and Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2010

Do you hear the fuel pump come on for 2secs? If not check fuel pump fuse and fuel pump relay

Check the fuel pressure if the new fuel pump is producing the correct fuel pressure if okay-check for injector/s pulses using a noid lite, if injectors are not pulsing means no fuel to the cylinders

Thank you for all your help.
Can you tell me where the fuel pump fuse is located and the fuel pump relay?

I have no owners manual for this 1998 Lincoln Towncar.

Thank you,

Terry Meder
