stereo installed now the car will not start?

whe got got a stereo installed in our car and now the car will not start, the light from the alarm just blinks and it will not alarm the car what can this be? or how can i fix it?

Hi,

Because of location, I suspect the anti-theft transceiver module is disconnected or a wire was damaged.

The transceiver is located behind the center of the dash, approximately behind where the radio is mounted. The ground for the module is also in this area.

The first thing I suggest is to confirm the 5 amp fuse in the interior fuse box is good. It is fuse 24. See pic 3 below. In addition to checking the fuse, check to make sure there is power to and from it.

If that is good, remove the radio again and inspect the module wiring and connection. Also, confirm the black wire with an orange tracer is not damaged.
