I have had my solenoid replaced. I cannot start my car with the key. I can start it with a screwdriver on the solenoid. The car has started up with the key in the ignition with a jump start. Now that I have a good battery I still have to raise the hood and use the screwdriver to start my car unless I have driven a few miles. Can you tell me what this problem may be?

Have helper hold key to start position and look for battey voltage at black small wire at the solenoid. Do you have it-if so replace the starter-if not see circuit diagram below and go from there. You have a nice day
