A friend of mine has a '98 lexus sc 300 with a 3.0 liter v6. She recently started getting horrible fuel mileage and experienced a substantial loss of power. She brought it to a master mechanic and after scanning the car he stated that bank 1 sensor 1 was bad. Is this the sensor I can see inserted into the side of the exhaust manifold? He also quoted her a 600 dollar parts and labor charge. So at about 10 hours lf labor, or so he says, I am wondering if he is overcharging her and if I am looking at the correct part. Thanks for your help
