I just bought a used 2002 Lexus RX300 with about 60,000 miles. I had it for 2 days and heavy smoke came out of the exhaust, and now it barely starts. Bottom line, it was towed and they said they need to rebuild the engine. What does that mean? Should I do it or just return it and get my money back?

Hi asal22,

Thank you for the donation.

Rebuilding the engine means an overhaul job to make the engine new again.

If the job is going to be done by the dealer at the expense of the seller, you can go ahead with the job, otherwise you should get your money back and look for an alternate vehicle.
