After the car has warmed up, this often happens while driving the car:

While in motion, the brake pedal is applied;

resulting in this:

a) the sound system cuts out and comes back on normally about 2 seconds later, even if the brake pedal is still in use;

b) both headlights flicker momentarily;

c) the cruise control disengages and shuts itself off;

Note:

Switching the headlights from Low beam to High beam will also cause the same 3 results (a, b & c) as listed above. The brake pedal does not have to be pressed down at the time the Hi - Lo beams are employed.

Perhaps you are able to suggest a fix for my problem?

Hello -

From 1995 and previous, the cars can not be read using an OBD-II scanner. According to the information I read on your model, you may be able to have your read. Please go to Auto Zone (AZ) or O'Reilly's (OR) and for FREE they can pull the codes to the car. Most important: Once they check your codes, if they find something and you don't get it fixed and need to get back with us, please make sure you tell us exactly what the code was, number and all. Example, if the code was E0568 O2 Sensor bad. Then make sure you give us all of that.

Most important, please have them bring their tester out and check your battery and alternator.

Hello -

AZ or OR may tell you they can not check it because it is a 1995. Please make sure you tell them that you think your auto is set up different and if your are not sure what it looks like have them look at it. Again, your model from what I read takes the 1996 on scanner.......
