2003 Lexus IS 300 steering wheel locked
Steering problem
2003 Lexus IS 300 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 75000 miles
How do i get my steering wheel to unlock? I have tried turning wheel back and forth while turning key but no luck. I have used both keys after locking and unlocking doors. It is in gear.

When you say; "It's in gear", do you mean it's NOT in park or neutral? Please advise.

sorry it is in park and i followed the instructions in my car manual and other suggestions online with no luck, i picked a bad day to stop sniffing glue

OK, now I understand. Have you tried spraying a type of silicone lub of any kind in the key slot and working the key in and out a few times? If this doesn't work you have probably dropped or jamed a tumbler in the key assembly and it will have to be changed. A locksmith may be able to get it unlocked.
