Scanner only shows E for code

check the vacuum on the engine with a vacuum guage and see if it flutchuates more than 5hg(mercury inches) and also if the vacuum is within specs( at idle approx 18-23 steady)
if you have low readings it means you have a restriction in the exhaust. If you have a fluctuation it means one or more of your cylinders have low compression.
The code "e" from your scanner ......there is no such code.Try again or with another scanner...codes for vehicles are numbers!
Good luck and I hope I was some help!
