2002 Kia Other Repair Question

2002 Kia Spectra A/C & heat
The heater and A/C both function. They will not change setting with the dial (like from defrost to feet to face). This would be fine but my windows are fogging up and the defrost needs to be turned on. Any suggestion? Thanks!

there is a skinny connecting link about 6 in long to the right of your gas pedal. you should see that it is most likely disconnected. just pop that back in the hole and connect the plastic retainer and you should be good to go. there is also one on the passenger side that controls the temp, so if you ever have problems with that you know where it is. kia put these in a bad spot because i know people are always knocking them off. please respond if you have any problems with the info and i will try to get a pic up of it. hope everything goes well.........v
