Shutting off while driving after replacing ignition key

Wondering why my truck is shutting down while driving after I had a new key made. Is it the anti theft system not reading the new key?

Yes, that is what is happening. Can I ask if the security light is flashing when you crank it over? If so you will need to get the key initialized it should cost about $130.00 at a shop or dealer.
