Transmission problem
1993 Jeep Wrangler 6 cyl All Wheel Drive 78000 miles

I have not had any issues before with my four wheel drive until this winter. Once I switch my jeep into 4H after 2H it seems that I still have all the power going to my rear wheels. The indicator light comes on showing that it is in 4 wheel drive but I dont have the control in snow or pulling power that I should have with 4 wheel drive. If I shift it into 4L, it seems to work well, but you cant drive in 4L all the time. What would you suggest? Thanks for the time.

Well in four high it always feels like you have more in the rear wheels. Try lifting the jeep up on a lift, all wheels off the ground and just make sure the front end is engaging. Maybe something in the transfer case? Also if in 4 high you should get a binding while turning on pavement in the front end. This will tell you its engaging also. Curt
