Hey, I've been having a lot of trouble for the past few months with my transmission. Here are the major problems. When I'm accelerating, there will be a point in which the rpm's will kick way up but I won't be going any faster, or the rate of acceleration is very slow. Sounds like somethings awful is gonna happen. Also, when I put in in reverse, it will sit there as if in neutral, and then eventually get into gear and go in reverse. This has cost me many problems and has put me in potentially dangerous positions. The transmission fluid is full, so that's not the issue. I checked the oil level, and it seemed fine, too. I hope my description was good, I'm not too good with how cars work. Thanks for any and all help!

Sounds to me you have problem with your speed sensor. But before we rule that out, let's check if you have any codes in the computer. Insert key into ignition. Turn the key to ON-OFF-ON-OFF-ON (within 5 seconds). Locate your odometer screen and see if you have any codes. Record code numbers and post them here, and we'll help diagnose.

It means that there is no code or check engine light stored in the computer. When is the last time you had the transmission serviced? If it has been more than 2 years, I recommend that transmission service is performed. And make sure that they refill the transmission with Mopar fluid or ATF+4, and nothing else. The next to check is your vehicle speed sensor, located on top of the transmission.
