1997 Jeep Laredo It slows down fast

OBD trouble code 0783 says that the jeep has a freeze frame malfunction. Does this means that the transmission is bad and can it be repaired without being rebuilt?

My book is saying that it is a 3-4 shift solenoid, no RPM Drop @ 3-4 shift. This may help you narrow it down for you.
